Custom Built-Ins
Designed, engineered, finished, and installed under one roof in our Deerfield Beach factory. We are a manufacturer, not a dealer.
Custom Built-Ins South Florida — Media Walls, Home Offices, and Wall Units, Built to the Room
A built-in is the piece that makes a room feel finished rather than furnished — an empty wall becomes a media center, a corner becomes a home office, a hallway becomes a library. At Sunshine Alliance, we design and manufacture every built-in from scratch in our Deerfield Beach facility, to your wall, your dimensions, and your finish. We are a manufacturer, not a dealer: nothing here is ordered from a catalog or shipped in to be assembled.
The scale behind a single built-in
Drawn, Engineered, and Built in One Place
A built-in has to disappear into a room that already exists — out-of-square walls, existing trim, a ceiling that waves, and power and wire that have to land in exactly the right place. We solve all of that on paper first, then carry the piece through engineering, fabrication, finishing, and installation without it leaving the building. What we draw is what we scribe to the wall — level across the run, tight to surfaces that are never truly flat.
That single chain of authorship is why a Sunshine Alliance built-in still reads as part of the house years later. There is no fabricator handing off to an installer who has never met, and no second company to blame when a panel doesn’t meet the wall — one team draws it, builds it, and fits it.

From a Media Wall to a Home Library
We build built-ins of every kind: media walls and entertainment centers with concealed wire management and integrated lighting, home offices and built-in desks, libraries and display bookcases, living-room wall units, window seats and banquettes, and entry or mudroom storage. Each is scribed to the wall, level across the run, and finished to match the room.
Whatever the brief, the engineering is the same: doors and drawers that align across the whole run, tight reveals, and a built-in that reads as part of the house rather than furniture set against it.

Construction and Hardware
A built-in spans long walls and carries real weight, so every run is built on 3/4″ case construction with CNC-precision joinery that holds a straight line. You choose the drawer box to suit the work — dovetailed solid-maple boxes for a traditional, joinery-forward feel, or the Blum LEGRABOX system for a clean European profile. Either way the hardware is Blum throughout — the industry’s benchmark for cabinet motion — and every door and drawer runs soft-close and full-extension, so nothing slams and everything opens to its full depth.
The construction is engineered to disappear into the room: adjustable shelving that won’t bow under a full library, concealed wire and power management for media walls, and scribe stiles that close tight to out-of-square walls and ceilings. Nothing is adapted from a standard module — every built-in is drawn to your wall and cut to the room it goes into.
Finished in Our Own Spray Booth
Color is unlimited and the finish is entirely ours to control. From a dead-matte lacquer close to the wood, through every step of satin, to a polished high gloss — plus stain, glaze, and distressing — we mix and spray every built-in in our own Deerfield Beach booth. Nothing leaves to be finished elsewhere.
Because finishing is in-house, the color is matched to whatever is already in the room — existing trim, the cabinetry next door, a wall color — so a new built-in looks like it was always there. On wood, we grain-match all the parts so the figure runs continuously across the whole wall.
Every Style. Every Scale. Fully Custom.
From a single floating shelf wall to a two-story library, we work across every style and finish — handle-free modern, painted traditional, natural wood veneer. Every cabinet, shelf, and reveal is drawn around your wall and cut in Deerfield Beach before it reaches your home.
Beyond the Cabinetry — We Build Into the Architecture
A built-in works best when it reads as part of the house, so we engineer it into the architecture: matched to your existing trim and reveals, integrated with lighting and power, and scribed tight to walls and ceilings that are never perfectly square. We coordinate to your existing cabinetry and millwork so the new work looks like it was always there.
For fireplace surrounds, paneling, and coffered ceilings, see our Architectural Millwork; for entertaining walls with wine storage, see our Bars & Wine Walls — and when a room needs all three, one team builds them to match.
For the Designers, Architects, and Builders We Work With
Bring us in at the drawing stage and we will hold the detail the whole way through — engineering to your trim and reveal spec, matching the new work to what’s already in the room, and keeping the client relationship yours. You get clean shop drawings, real finish samples, and one team coordinating with the electrical and finish trades on site. It’s why designers and builders hand us the built-ins when they have to vanish into the architecture.
The Sunshine Alliance Standard
Every built-in we make comes off the same floor that, in 2025 alone, cut 8,186 sheets, assembled 10,200 cabinet boxes, and produced and installed 17,650 parts across 635 projects — with more than two decades of manufacturing behind it, from a Deerfield Beach factory that doubled in size for 2026. When the cabinetry has to disappear into the architecture, builders and designers across South Florida’s finest homes rely on us. Designed, engineered, built, and installed in-house. One team, one standard.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you manufacture the built-ins or order them in?
We manufacture them. Every media wall, office, library, and wall unit is drawn, built, finished, and installed by our own team in Deerfield Beach — we’re the manufacturer, not a reseller. One shop owns it from drawing to install.
What kinds of built-ins do you make?
Media walls and entertainment centers, home offices and desks, libraries and display bookcases, living-room wall units, window seats and banquettes, and entry and mudroom storage — each scribed to the wall and finished to match the room.
Can you match a built-in to the trim and cabinetry already in the house?
Yes. We match existing trim profiles, reveals, and finishes, scribe the new work tight to out-of-square walls and ceilings, and integrate lighting and power so the built-in reads as part of the architecture rather than furniture set against it.
How long does a built-in take to build?
Most built-ins run about 8–14 weeks in production from shop-drawing approval, depending on size and finish. We give you firm dates at consultation once the design is approved.
