Architectural Millwork

Paneling, fireplaces, ceilings, and trim, built into the architecture

Designed, milled, finished, and installed under one roof in our Deerfield Beach factory. We are a manufacturer, not a dealer.

Architectural Millwork South Florida — Paneling, Fireplaces, Ceilings, and Trim, Built to the Room

Architectural millwork is the woodwork that becomes part of the building itself — a paneled wall, a fireplace surround, a coffered ceiling, a run of crown that turns a plain room into a finished one. At Sunshine Alliance, we design, mill, finish, and install every piece from scratch in our Deerfield Beach facility, matched to your room and your existing trim. We are a manufacturer, not a dealer: profiles are cut to your detail, not pulled from a catalog.

One Roof

Drawn, Engineered, and Built in One Place

Every project starts at the drawing board with a dedicated design consultation, then moves through our own engineering, milling, finishing, and installation without ever leaving the building. Because the same team carries it the whole way, what is drawn is what gets built — scribed to the wall, mitered tight, with profiles, reveals, and returns worked out before a single part is cut, not improvised on site.

That single chain of authorship is why a Sunshine Alliance installation holds its line, years after the job closes. There is no handoff between a mill and an installer who have never met, and no third party to point at if a joint opens up.

The Range

From a Run of Crown Molding to a Paneled Library

We produce the full range of architectural millwork: fireplace surrounds and mantels, wall paneling and wainscoting, coffered and beamed ceilings, crown molding and trim, entryways and door surrounds, columns and pilasters, and decorative room dividers. Each profile is milled to your detail and finished to match the room.

Whatever the brief, the engineering is the same: profiles that align around the room, mitered corners that stay tight, and millwork that reads as part of the architecture rather than applied to it.

Let’s draw your room first

Bring us your room, your dimensions, and your existing trim. We’ll mill the millwork to match — before a single profile is cut.

Construction & Hardware

Construction and Materials

Every profile is milled in-house from solid hardwood and veneered panel stock, in the species your design calls for — paint-grade poplar and MDF for a crisp painted finish, or walnut, white oak, and other hardwoods where the grain is meant to show. Profiles are cut to your drawing rather than adapted from a stock knife, so a fireplace surround, a panel mold, and a crown run all share the same detail.

Joinery is cut for the long run: mitered and coped corners, scarf joints on long molding runs, and returns that close cleanly into walls and ceilings that are never perfectly square. We scribe to the room on site so the finished work sits tight, with no caulk-filled gaps.

Finishing

Finished in Our Own Spray Booth

Color is unlimited and the finish is entirely ours to control. From a dead-matte lacquer close to the wood, through every step of satin, to a polished high gloss — plus stain, glaze, and distressing — we mix and spray every millwork package in our own Deerfield Beach booth. Nothing leaves to be finished elsewhere.

Because finishing is in-house, color is matched to whatever you hand us: a paint chip, a stone slab, a wood sample — or the trim already in the room. The result reads as one considered surface, with a finish that is consistent across the whole room because one shop controlled it from start to finish.

Range & Scale

Every Style. Every Scale. Fully Custom.

From a single painted crown run to a full paneled library in book-matched walnut, we work across every style and species — traditional raised panel, clean Shaker, or flat modern reveal. Every profile is milled in Deerfield Beach before it reaches your home.

The Whole Room

Beyond the Trim — The Whole Room in Millwork

Architectural millwork works best as a complete room, so we build it that way: paneled walls that wrap into a fireplace surround, a coffered ceiling that lines up with the panels below, and crown, base, and casing that tie it all together. We coordinate to your existing millwork, stone, and lighting so the new work looks original to the house.

For cabinetry within the room — built-in shelving, media walls, and storage — see our Custom Built-Ins; together, one team builds the whole room to match.

For the Trade

For the Designers, Architects, and Builders We Work With

Bring us in at the drawing stage and we will protect your design the whole way through — engineering to your detail, holding your spec, and keeping the client relationship yours. You get clean shop drawings, real finish samples, and one accountable team coordinating with your other trades on site, which is why designers and builders hand us the work that has to be right.

The Standard

The Sunshine Alliance Standard

More than two decades of manufacturing, 635 completed projects across South Florida’s finest homes and estates, and a Deerfield Beach factory that doubled in size for 2026. In 2025 alone, that floor cut 8,186 sheets, assembled 10,200 cabinet boxes, and produced and installed 17,650 parts across 635 projects. We are the custom cabinetmaker and millwork manufacturer builders, designers, and homeowners rely on when the work has to be right — designed, engineered, built, and installed in-house. One team, one standard.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you manufacture the millwork, or install someone else’s?

We manufacture. Sunshine Alliance designs, mills, finishes, and installs every piece of architectural millwork on our own floor in Deerfield Beach — profiles are cut to your detail, not bought in.

Can you match existing molding or trim in my home?

Yes. We profile a custom knife to match your existing molding, or design a new profile from scratch, so additions and renovations read as one continuous run.

What kinds of architectural millwork do you make?

Fireplace surrounds and mantels, wall paneling and wainscoting, coffered and beamed ceilings, crown molding and trim, entryways, columns and pilasters, and decorative dividers — in paint-grade or natural hardwood.

How long does a millwork project take?

Most run 8–14 weeks of production from shop-drawing approval, depending on scope. We give you a specific timeline at consultation once the design is defined.
